What does Social Justice mean to me?
What Social Justice means to me is having equality for each and every one of us. Fighting for our rights, and knowing what’s good for us. Social justice means to fight for what you believe is right. It means that you stand up for your beliefs of what is right and what is wrong, and you take it upon yourself to actually do something about that issue. Instead of being a bystander, you take action and fight for your beliefs.
What obstacles do we face while struggling to achieve social justice?
We face many struggles in Social Justice, but we manage to get through them. We are strong when we are put into one. We are a family.
What is your vision for struggle?
My vision of struggle is that we take although we were raised in a whole different city, people in Chicago are standing up and fighting for what they believe is right. This also shows that when people stick together and fight for the same issue, people in groups will get things done.
What is your role in the struggle?
My role in this struggle, is to show how much of a problem this can be. Make people who are struggling, to not feel like they're the only ones out there.
How is your issue a social justice issue?
My issue is on Domestic Violence. I believe this is a social justice issue because we want to feel like we’re safe with whom we are with and/or to have justice for what we are going through.
